Add staff and control what each person can do
Staff make a shop faster, but one shared login means you can never tell who did what. Separate access gives you both speed and accountability.
Start by adding names
Even without logins, adding a staff member lets you see who made which sales. A name is enough to learn who your best seller is.
Give logins to people you trust
On the Premium plan a team member can have their own login using their Google email. They sign in on their own phone and you choose what they can do.
Give the least access that works
- A counter assistant usually needs to sell and nothing else.
- Give editing rights only to people who maintain products and prices.
- Give return rights to a small number of trusted people, because returns change stock and money.
Check activity regularly
Look at sales by staff member, returns and stock adjustments each week. When people know the records are checked, mistakes and shortcuts fall.
Remove access when someone leaves
Remove their login on the same day. Do not share your own owner login for convenience, because it lets that person see and change everything.
- Open Staff & Team from the menu and tap Add staff.
- On Premium, type their Google email, tick what they may do and send the invite.
Common questions
Can staff see my profit?
Only if you give them that access. Counter staff normally see only the sale screen and the items they need.
What if a staff member is stealing?
Check stock adjustments, returns and cash differences by person. Talk to the person with the records in hand, and limit their permissions while you investigate.
