A 10-minute daily closing checklist for your shop
Closing the day turns a pile of small transactions into one clear picture. It also catches mistakes while you can still remember them.
1. Record everything that is still pending
Enter any sale, expense or supplier payment you only wrote on paper. Closing is only as accurate as the records behind it.
2. Count the cash in the drawer
Count notes and coins, and write the total down before looking at the app. Counting first stops you from making the numbers fit.
3. Compare with expected cash
Expected cash is the opening cash plus cash sales and payments received, minus cash expenses and supplier payments. The difference between expected and counted cash is your daily gap.
4. Check wallet and card money
Open your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app and confirm that the wallet and card totals match your records.
5. Review credit given and collected
Look at how much credit you gave today and how much you collected. If credit given is rising faster than collections, tighten limits before it becomes a habit.
6. Fix and learn
A small gap happens. A gap that repeats points to a pattern, such as unrecorded small sales, wrong change or a staff habit. Note the gap each day and look at the week.
7. Put the cash away
Keep a fixed float for tomorrow and move the rest to a safe place or the bank. A drawer full of cash tempts both mistakes and theft.
- Use Business tools → Closing to see sales, cash and expenses for the day in one place.
- Check Reports for the weekly picture.
Common questions
What if the cash does not match?
Do not adjust the numbers to hide it. Record the difference, think about what changed today (new staff, a busy hour, an unrecorded sale) and see if it repeats tomorrow.
