How to record a sale quickly and correctly
A fast counter keeps customers happy. A correct counter keeps your stock and cash honest. This guide shows how to get both.
Build the bill
Tap the round + button, then search by name or scan the barcode. Each tap adds one more unit. Change the quantity or price on the line if the customer buys in bulk or you agreed a special rate.
Add discount and tax
Enter a discount and tax before you pick the payment method, so the total the customer sees is the total you record. Decide a simple rule for discounts (for example, never below cost) and stick to it.
Pick the right payment method
- Cash: money in the drawer.
- Wallet: Easypaisa or JazzCash. Check the message arrived before handing over goods.
- Card: money arrives in your bank later.
- Credit: pay later. Add the customer's name so the balance goes to their ledger.
Choosing the correct method matters at the end of the day, because your cash count only matches if wallet and card sales were not recorded as cash.
Share or print the receipt
After saving, print the bill (58 mm or 80 mm), save it as a PDF or send it on WhatsApp. A receipt helps with returns and builds trust, especially for expensive items.
Fix mistakes the right way
If you recorded the wrong item or amount, do not just change the stock. Use the return flow for the sale so stock, reports and the ledger stay consistent. Undo is available right after a sale.
Speed tips
- Keep your best sellers one search away by giving them short, clear names.
- Scan instead of typing wherever you can.
- Record the sale before you hand over the goods, not after the rush.
- Tap the round + button for a new sale.
- Bill style options live in Settings → Invoice & preferences.
- Quick Add and manual product add help when an item is not in your list yet.
Common questions
Can I sell an item that is not in my product list?
Yes. You can add a product quickly from the sale screen and complete the sale, then add its details later.
Can one bill have both retail and wholesale prices?
Yes. You can change the price on each line, so a customer can buy some items at the retail price and others at the wholesale price.
